Izumo Daijingu

Izuymo Daijingu (出雲大神宮) , the Tanba province’s most important shrine (Ichinomiya) , was built in 709. The present shrine pavilions were built in the last stage of the Kamakura period (1192-1333). Since Mt.Mikage has been the object of worship, to enter the area of this mountain has been prohibited.

Ookuninushi no kami (大国主神)

Mitsuhohime no mikoto (三穂津姫命)
