Daitsu-ji Ganzanken and Rantei – Garden
Information : Daitsu-ji Ganzanken and Rantei | 大通寺含山軒および蘭亭庭園
Ganzanken – It is a dry landscape garden (枯山水). Mt.Ibuki is designated as borrowing scene from the garden(*Shakkei). Rokuon-ji(Ginkaku-ji) Teien uses this technique as well.
Rantei - It is a pond fountain garden, where the stone was arranged centering on the pond, founded in Edo period.
*Shakkei (借景) – The technique of forming a dynamic scene by taking nature into the scenery in a garden as a background.
Hours : 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Closed : The end of year and new year
