Shukkeien Garden

Information : Shukkeien Garden| 縮景園

The word “縮景園” means it as the contracted scene. It is said as that name that this garden reproduced the scene of Sai-ko in China. This daimyo garden of the strolling pond garden style was made by Soko Ueda of the master of the tea ceremony in 1620. The form of Kokyo Bridge which exists in the center of a pond is very unique. By the atomic bomb in 1949, the garden received the destructive damage, however it was restored after that and opened in 1951.

Closed : The end of the year and new year
