Nijo Castle Ninomaru Teien

Information : Ninomaru Teien of Nijo Castle | 二条城二之丸庭園

It is supposed that this garden was also made in 1603 when Nijo Castle was built. It is a garden expressing the legendary-hermit-with-miraculous-power world of a the pond garden viewed from the study room style. In addtion to the Ninomaru garden, the Honmaru garden (Meiji Era) and Seiryuen (Lit:clear stream garden (Showa Era)) are located in Nijo Castle.

Hours : 8:45 a.m – 4:00 p.m (Gates close at 5:00 p.m.)

Closed : The end of the year and new year / Every Tuesday in Dec/Jan/Jula/ Aug
