Wakamatsu Castle (若松城) – Tsuruga Castle

Information: Aizu Wakamatsu castle, built in 1934 by Naomori Ashina, is well known as Tsuruga castle. It was called Kurokawa castle at first then called Tsuruga castle when Ujisato Gamo who was a vassal of Hideyoshi Toyotomi came to dominate over Tohoku region.? During Boshin war (1868-1869), this castle was attacked by those seeking to return political power to the imperial court.
