Shirakawa Komine Castle

Shirakawa Komine Castle (白河小峰城)

Information: Komine castle is one of the three famous castle in Tohoku area (Others are Morioka castle and Wakmatsu castle). It was built by Chikatomo Yuki in 1340 during Southern and Northern Dynasties, and burned down in 1868 (Boshin war). From 1991 to 1994, a three-storied castle tower and a gate were restored.
