Isuien Garden
Information : Isuien Garden | 依水園
Isui-en consists of a front garden (the 1670s), a back garden (1899) and an art museum. It is located very near Todaiji in Nara, and a part of Mt.Wakakusa, Mt.Kasuga-yama, and Todaiji were taken in as a scenic backdrop (*Shakkei technique).
Shakkei : the technique of forming a dynamic scene by taking nature into the scenery in a garden as a background.
Hours : 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Closed : Tuesday
